West African / North Indian |
East / West grooves in Gloucestershire - I discovered drumming through a chance meeting with two wonderful teachers running workshops here at the British School. It's a great luxury to live in rural Gloucestershire and be able to learn both West African and North Indian musical traditions.
Accessible method for development in West African traditional percussive and vocal music. Emphasis is on developing rhythm skills through fun teambuilding activities as well as researched exercises from a variety of schools. Opportunities to perform at a variety of local community events available to all after 1st year of classes.(Jim Cheseldine)

"English" folk music session |
Folkies making music, every Monday night. But it is "English" trad. It is mostly the ceilidh band "Grand Union" plus Rod Stardling who probably influences the "Englishness" greatly. (Mr Red)
