Writer Michael Wood presents his latest television series In Search of Shakespeare, which attempts to flesh out the bare bones of Shakespeare's life to show that the world's greatest playwright was very much a product of his time. Helen Hackett, a Shakespeare scholar at UCL, reviews.

NO GUGGENHEIM IN RIO
John Wilson reports on the Brazilian courts move to block construction of a new $250 million Guggenheim museum in Rio de Janeiro. Public opposition had grown against the extravagence of this project in a city plagued by severe crime & health problems.
