SONDHEIM OPENINGS
John Wilson reports on Bounce, a brand new musical from Stephen Sondheim which has just opened in Chicago, along with a major revival of his Pacific Overtures in London. Critics Michael White in London and Michael Phillips in Chicago, review.

'Pacific Overtures' is at the Donmar Warehouse in London until 6 September 2003.

'Bounce' is at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago.

Juan Diego Florez is the latest singer to be described as the fourth tenor. Harriet Smith of 大象传媒 Music magazine considers this claim.
