TOM HOLLAND
Writer.听 While researching his latest book Persian Fire Tom travelled extensively with his family.听 Against everyone's advice Tom听took his family to Iran and found it a wonderful place for children.听 Tom also went on a road trip through France and Italy to Greece .听 During this time he came to the conclusion that Europe is divided into two halves; the half that welcomes children in restaurants and the half that does not.
TASHI WHEELER
Tashi is the 24 year old daughter of the founders of the guides.听 Tashi's life has been one big trip. She has visited 60 countries and made eight treks through Nepal .听 She made her first trip to Kathmandu as a tiny baby on her mother's back.
DAN EVERETT
Dan is a Research Professor at the Department of Linguistics,听 and has spent much of his professional life living and working with the Piraha in the Brazilian Amazon, conducting field research on their language and those of other groups of Amazonian Indians.听 Dan took his whole family to live with the Piraha.
NICK MAES
Nick has worked in various fields over the years - in theatre, fashion, radio and as a journalist.听 He has published two novels: Not Dark Yet which is set in the Aeolian Islands and The Africa Bar set in Zanzibar .
Nick has recently visited the Ssese Islands, a group of more than 84 inhabited islands in the northwest of Lake Victoria , Uganda .
