A WINTER WALK

Walking in the winter was a pastime much appreciated by American naturalist and author, Henry Thoreau, "For in the coldest day, and on the bleakest hill, the traveller cherishes a warmer fire within the folds of his cloak than is kindled on any hearth."
Sandi Toksvig discovers many good reasons to resist听staying indoors over the winter months with the help of writer, broadcaster and notorious rambler, Mike Harding and well-travelled walker Helen Todd from the Scottish Ramblers' Association.

ARCHITECTURAL TOURISM - THE MODERN DAY GRAND TOUR
Architect and African architecture specialist, Leslie Lokko and journalist Jonathan Lee, author of 50 Great Adventures: Extraordinary Places and the People who Built Them share their knowledge of some of the world's most amazing man-made places.
