CHINESE NEW YEAR
Chinese New Year started last weekend and celebrations in China are set to continue for a fortnight with many taking both weeks off as holiday. Travel writer Nick Maes is in Shanghai and joins Sandi Toksvig to report on the festivities.
From one of China 's smaller rural towns Pinyao and from the huge, ultra modern Shanghai , Nick describes how the twenty first century has affected the age old traditions of firecrackers, dragon dances and lantern ceremonies.

Sandi meets travel agent Julie Middleton and travel counsellor Lisa Hillyard who design and assemble bespoke vacations for those who know exactly what they want from their weeks away.
