SOUTH AMERICA
Sandi Toksvig heads to the north of South America, the top left hand corner of the continent that includes Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Three travellers to that part of the world, novelist Anthony Horowitz; writer and presenter Manch谩n Magan听and travel writer Polly Rodger Brown have written about their journeys in three very different books.听

is an author and television scriptwriter whose credits include creating and writing the series Foyle's War and writing several episodes of Midsomer Murders.听 He is also the author of the successful Alex Rider series of adventure novels for children. For his newest novel, Evil Star, Anthony travelled deep into the Peruvian jungle and to the world famous historical site of Machu Picchu.听 Matt Freeman, the hero of Evil Star, is a teenager who goes to Peru and gets into all sorts of spy type scrapes.
