Soon the World Cup will start and some people will travel many miles to see the matches even without a ticket. Sandi Toksvig is joined by four ardent football enthusiasts to discuss what motivates their passion and hears of their efforts to support their team in person or join in with the football fans outside the stadiums all around the world.听

Christian Wach is a freelancer in digital media. With his friend Phil Wake they've started a project called the '' which involves kicking a football all the way to the world cup.听 The idea is to play keepie uppy and pass the ball to each other as they travel.听 In the course of their travel Christian and Phil drive cars, take trains, go on boats but don't fly and they play football at key points along the way, filming meetings with fans and players and posting daily updates of the trip on their web site Spirit of Football.听
听 Anna Sadler is married and has 3 children.听 They are all members of the Football Association; with her family they have been to all the England away games and home ones too for the last 4 years.听 They support Southend United and go to all their matches too.听 Their travels have taken them to most of the western European countries as well as the USA, Albania, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Slovakia ...
Mark Perryman is an England fan, activist, writer and campaigner.听 He is the convenor of the听听group and actively involved in supporter initiative to develop a positive England fan culture.听 Mark is the author of several books on football, sociology and politics; his most recent book is called Ingerland: Travels with a Football Nation. As an entrepreneur, Mark is the co-founder , a self-styled sporting outfitters.
