BEACH HUT
From her beach hut on the north Kent coast, Sandi Toksvig discusses the changing nature of the seaside town of .听 As the modern town debates whether a marina should be built, it is easy to forget that in Victorian times it had a nude bathing beach.
Sandi is joined by local historian Geoff Pike, Thanet Coast ecotourism officer Naomi Biggs; Whitstable resident, vegetable grower and Veg Talk and Masterchef co-presenter Gregg Wallace and Ben Walton, Chef at the Crab and Winkle to talk about the rare and luminous delicacy,听 soup and to debate the relative merits of eating oysters raw or deep fried.听

Geoff is originally from Wiltshire but was Head of the local secondary school The William Nottidge School.听 Geoff and his wife stayed on when he retired and he now writes books on the history of Whitstable and is currently working on one on its development as a seaside town.
Naomi Biggs,听 education officer for ecotourism听

听 听is a successful vegetable grower who supplies many large restaurants in London with fresh produce from his farm.听 Born in Peckham, he started out as a London market trader on a vegetable stand in Covent Garden 's vegetable market.
