John McCarthy is joined by Karen Bass, a producer at the ´óÏó´«Ã½â€™s Natural History Unit who has trotted the globe filming some of its most remarkable animals on land and in the sea; Philip Briggs author of the latest, Bradt guide to Uganda, a country which attracts most of its tourists with the huge array of fauna it offers and Ian Maxwell a tracker of animals and even people in countries all around the world including here in Britain.

Karen Bass is the series producer of ´óÏó´«Ã½ 2 currently broadcast on Tuesdays and also the co-author of its accompanying book.Ìý Fifteen years ago KarenÌýbecame David Attenborough’s researcher at the Natural History unit.Ìý She has produced several award winning films including Pygmy Chimp – The Last Great Ape, the first film to be made about the rare bonobos of the Congo.
Karen has filmed and travelled all over the world including Uganda last year.ÌýÌýShe talks about her career and latest project and shares the difficulties and joys she experienced when filming the wildlife of the Caribbean, the hot bat caves of Cuba, the swamps of Mosquito Coast, the deserts of Bonaire, the sulphur springs and volcanoes of St Lucia and Dominica as well as the rainforests of Central America.
