Richard Guise undertook a 600 or so mile ride from April 2006 to July 2007 as a physical challenge inspired by his friend running a marathon.Ìý Much of his route is relatively little known and Richard found some attractive and remote spots on the Scottish West coast.Ìý He has recounted his experiences of rain, remoteness and midge-free cycling in his new book From The Mull to the Cape: A Gentle Bike Ride on the edge of Wilderness.
