BLIND IN BUSINESS

The charity Blind In Business held a recent event to try and help blind women gain more confidence in job interviews.

Blind in Business is a small charity based in London. They help young blind students develop confidence to think about further education.

They run a series of training courses and workshops for blind students between the ages of 14-18 and help them to construct, implement and develop a personal career action plan and introduce them to the latest specialist IT technology.


INDIRA SENGUPTA
Two weeks ago Indira Sengupta went on a taster trip to Tideway’s sailing club for the visually impaired, one of two hundred clubs in the UK run by the charity Sailability.

It is on an energetic recruitment drive for visually impaired sailors, and regards entry to the twenty-twelve Paralympics as a reasonable dream, even for novices.

Indira has now undertaken a Royal Yachting Association qualification.

The RNIB provides information, support and advice for anyone with a serious sight problem.
