DAN ARIELY Dan Ariely is Professor of Behavioural Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). When he was eighteen he was badly burnt whilst doing his Military Service in Israel. It was whilst in hospital that he started reflecting on why people behave in the way they do.听 In his new book 听he looks at why smart people still make irrational decisions. Predictably Irrational: The Hidden Forces that Shape Our Decisions is published by HarperCollins.
GABRIEL PROKOFIEV
Gabriel Prokofiev is a composer and producer who set up the independent record label听听 His grandfather was the Russian composer Sergey Prokofiev whose most celebrated work, Peter and the Wolf is about to tour the UK in a new adaptation. Peter and the Wolf is at the Marlowe听Theatre, Canterbury,听21st -23rd March and on tour until听20th April .
JOSIE LAWRENCE
Josie Lawrence is the actor and comedienne. She is well known for her skill at comedy improvisation, having been a member of the Comedy Store Players for twenty years and for her acting performances in The King and I and The Taming of the Shrew. She is about to play the title role in a revival of Tom Stoppard鈥檚 Hapgood - 11th to 26th April at the Birmingham Rep Theatre and then the West Yorkshire Playhouse in May.
GRAEME SIMS 听is a dog trainer. After running a successful advertising business, he faced bankruptcy, until a chance meeting with a stray dog changed his life and he became a successful shepherd and dog trainer. His book The Dog Whisperer: How to Train Your听 Dog Using Its Own Language is published by Headline.
