LINDSEY BUTCHER Lindsey Butcher is an aerial artist. A graduate of the London School of Contemporary Dance, she learnt circus skills with Ra-Ra Zoo Circus Theatre and now successfully combines both mediums with her company听 Their latest work Shift is currently touring and is at the Linbury Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House until 23rd April. JERRY DE ROYE
Jerry de Roye is a former Trolley Bus driver, turned Wall of Death rider. Taught by the legendary "Speedy Williams", he and his wife became 鈥淭he Daredevil de Royes鈥 and toured the fairgrounds in the 50s and 60s. Now eighty years old, he is the oldest rider of the Wall of Death and has featured in the Guiness Book of Records. This weekend is Wall of Death Weekend, at听, Lifton, Devon from 10.30am featuring the 80th Anniversary Celebration & Riders Reunion.
MARTIN TOWNSEND
Martin Townsend has worked as a journalist since 1979 and is currently Editor of the Sunday Express. In his memoir The Father I Had he tells of the trials, fears and joys of growing up with a father diagnosed with bipolar disorder during the 1950s. The Father I Had is published by Corgi.
PTOLEMY DEAN
Ptolemy Dean is an architect and was the resident expert on the 大象传媒 series Restoration. In his new book Britain's Buildings, Places and Spaces: The Unseen in the Everyday he's gathered together a collection of his sketchings of buildings that he first started twenty-five years ago whilst still at school. Britain's Buildings, Places and Spaces: The Unseen in the Everyday is published by Dorling Kindersley.
