LEN FOX Len Fox qualified as a London Cab Driver in 1974. A trained bespoke tailor before following his father into the cab business, he spent the next twenty years on the black cab rank at Heathrow Airport. He now combines cabbing with being a psychotherapist. He is one the charactersÌýfeatured in ´óÏó´«Ã½'s Arena: Cab Driver, part of Cab Night on 26th July on .ÌýÌý On Friday 18th June you can see a preview ofÌý ‘Cab Driver’ at the followed by a question and answer session with the film's director Zimena Percival andÌýLen Fox.Ìý Admission is £7.50.Ìý
REMZIJE SHERIFI
Remzije Sherifi was born in Prishtine in Kosova and worked as a journalist for many years with Radio Gjilan. In 1999, following the rise of the Milosevic regime, she escaped with her own family to Macedonia and from there to Glasgow, as a refugee. She now works as a Development Worker for , working with asylum seekers and refugees from all over the world. Her book Shadow Behind the Sun, is published by .
GEOFF THOMAS
Geoff Thomas is the ex-England and Crystal Palace footballer. In 2003 he was diagnosed with leukaemia and received a bone marrow transplant from his sister that saved his life. After being told that he was in remission, he rode the full twenty-one stages of the Tour de France in order to raise money for leukaemia research and founded the . His book Riding Through the Storm is published by Orion in conjuction with the Geoff Thomas Foundation.
TRACY-ANN OBERMAN
Tracy-Ann Oberman is the actressÌýcurrently starring in a new Amy Rosenthal comedy On the Rocks which charts a communal living experiment between D H Lawrence, his wife Frieda and their friends Katherine Mansfield and John Middleton Murry.Ìý She was a Guardian columnist and, with Diane Samuels,Ìýco-wrote the play Three Sisters on Hope Street.Ìý On the Rocks is at the Hampstead Theatre, London NW3 until 2nd August.
