Libby Purves听is听joined by听Cosmo Landesman, Baaba Maal, Elisabeth Luard and Fay Ripley.
COSMO LANDESMAN
Cosmo Landesman is the journalist and film critic for the Sunday Times.听 In his memoir Starstruck he tells of his extraordinary upbringing at the heart of bohemian London with his parents, the poet Fran and publisher Jay, who tried for forty years to hit the big time with their poems, songs and films. Starstruck is published by MacMillan.

BAABA MAAL
听is the Senegalese musician who is also a United Nations youth ambassador for HIV/Aids. His father wanted him to follow in his footsteps as a fisherman but instead he chose music, learning from his mother and now sings primarily in Pulaar, the language of those who live on either side of the Senegal River. He is performing at , a collaboration between Western and African musicians which takes place on 22nd October at Koko in Camden and on 23rd October at the Barbican.

ELISABETH LUARD
Elisabeth Luard is the food writer, author and illustrator who was awarded the coveted Glenfiddich Trophy for 2007. In her memoir My Life as a Wife she tells of her forty year marriage to the man the press called the 'Emperor of Satire', who co-founded Private Eye.
My Life as a Wife: Love, Liquor and what to do about the other women is published by Timewell Press.

FAY RIPLEY
Actress Fay Ripley became a household name when she starred in the BAFTA award-winning comedy/drama Cold Feet about thirty-somethings living in Manchester. She has just finished filming a new comedy drama for ITV, Monday Monday which will be broadcast next year. She has just been out to Tanzania with to see how sponsoring a child really works.
