HUGH WARWICK Hugh Warwick has been a hedgehog obsessive for over twenty years ever since an expedition to the Orkney Islands. In his book A Prickly Affair he tells of how he spent months on nocturnal tracking missions, his work being instrumental in stopping the hedgehog cull on South Uist. He is, of course, a life member of the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and has travelled to the International Hedgehog Olympics. A Prickly Affair: My Life with Hedgehogs is published by Penguin Books.

Michael Peters is a pioneer of the international design industry. For over 35 years he has helped revolutionise the relationship between design and business. He has worked with clients ranging from Nike to the ´óÏó´«Ã½, via Universal Studios, Martell, Vodafone, The Conservative Party, British Airways and Johnnie Walker whisky. Yes Logo – 40 Years of Michael Peters Branding, Design and Communication by Sarah Owens is published by Black Dog.Ìý He will be giving a talk on 6th November at Logan Hall, the Institute of Education, London WC1 at 7pm.
TARELL ALVIN McCRANEY
Tarell Alvin McCraney is one of the most exciting young playwrights of his generation. Championed by Peter Brook while still studying at Yale School for Drama, Tarell’s debut play The Brothers Size opened in New York and in London within months of his graduation. He currently has two works running at theÌý - In the Red and Brown Water and The Brothers Size, part of hisÌýBrothers/ Sisters trilogy,Ìýuntil 8th November. His new play Wig/Out is at The Royal Court, London SW1, from 20th November.
CARRIE HERBERT
Carrie Herbert is the founder and chief executive of , a charity which she set up in 1996 as a place where children who have been severely bullied can study safely. They currently have three schools running and are aiming to establish others around the UK. Back in May this year she won the Daily Mail's Inspirational Women of Year award. Anti-Bullying week is from 17th to 21st November.
