JASPER REES
Jasper Rees is a freelance journalist. On approaching his 40th birthday, he decided to retrieve his French horn from the attic, where it had laid silent for 22 years, and find the perfect place to reacquaint himself: the annual festival of the British Horn Society. He wrote a book and a play, I Found My Horn, published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson. The play is on at , London WC2 from 1st to 20th December.

DAVID SASSOON
听is Britain's foremost designer of glamorous evening wear and wedding dresses. In his book The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon he celebrates five decades in which he has dressed some of the world's most beautiful and charismatic women of their day including Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner and many female members of the Royal Family including Princess Diana. The Glamour of Bellville Sassoon is published by ACC Editions.

KATE O'HANLON
Kate O'Hanlon is a retired nursing sister who worked in the A&E Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital during the height of the troubles in Northern Ireland. In her book, Sister Kate she tells of how between 1966 and 1988, she cared for civilians caught in city centre bombs, British soldiers shot while on patrol, and IRA members injured by their own explosions. Sister Kate: Nursing through the Troubles is published by Black Staff Press.

GARY COLE
Gary Cole is the actor probably best known to British audiences for his TV roles in Desperate Housewives, The West Wing and Midnight Caller. He is currently appearing on the London stage in the multi award-winning play August: Osage County at the , which tells the story of a dysfunctional family that comes together in Oklahoma for the funeral of its patriarch. August: Osage County is at the Lyttleton theatre until 21st January.
