Libby Purves听is听joined by听Cassandro, Geoff Holt, Steven Isserlis and Haleh Anvari.
CASSANDRO
Cassandro is a champion luchador or wrestler, representing the exotico strand of Lucha Libre. Born Saul Armendariz in El Paso, Texas, he became a huge fan of 'lucha libre' when only a child, becoming fascinated with the art form and choreography. He made his debut aged 18 and since then has wrestled all over the world. In 1991 was awarded the first ever Exotico World Champion Award and will be performing in London in the听at the Roundhouse from 6th to 9th December.

GEOFF HOLT
听was 18 years old when he broke his neck in an accident, leaving him paralysed and cutting short a promising career as a yachtsman. In his book Walking on Water, he tells of how he became the first quadriplegic yachtsman to sail single-handed around Great Britain. Walking on Water: a voyage around Britain and through life is published by Seafarer Books.

STEVEN ISSERLIS
听is one of world's greatest cellists. This year he celebrates his 50th birthday with a concert in his honour at London's Wigmore Hall with works to include keyboard music of Bach and the Schubert Fantasy in F Minor. The 50th birthday concert will be on 16th December at Wigmore Hall. His next appearance in London will be at the Barbican on 24th January.

HALEH ANVARI
听is a writer and photographer. She is performing her one-woman monologue Power of a Cliche, as part of London's first ever season Iran: New Voices, organised by the Iran Heritage Foundation, exploring Iranian theatre, film, video and art. She uses her personal experience of living in England and Iran, focusing on the icon of the chador. Power of a Cliche is on 7th December and is part of 听at the Barbican from 25th November until 7th December.
