LEI ZHAO Lei Zhao is first soloist with the and has just come back from a tour of China. Lei is currently rehearsing for roles in Still Life at the Penguin Caf茅 as a rainforest woman, she is also in Serenade and portrays Jupiter in the new production of听Sylvia.
LES PRINGLE
Les Pringle joined Birmingham鈥檚 Metropolitan Ambulance Service in 1977 and was there for three unbroken decades of round-the-clock emergency work. He is the holder of the Queen鈥檚 Medal for Long and Exemplary Service. His book Blue Lights and Long Nights is published by Bantam Press.
GERALDINE JAMES
Geraldine James shot to fame in the TV drama The Jewel in the Crown, and is one of Britain's most respected actors covering theatre, film and television. She's been nominated for a BAFTA four times and won the Golden Lion Award for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for her performance in Peter Hall's film She's Been Away. She is currently in the听Howard Barker play VICTORY: Choices in Reaction听at the听Arcola Theatre - 3rd March to 4th April.
PETER PURVES
Peter Purves started his career as an actor and found fame in the mid sixties when he appeared in 44 episodes of Doctor Who alongside William Hartnell as the Doctor. But it is his ten year stint as one of three presenters on Blue Peter which has made him a household name. He was associated with Crufts for over 30 years. His autobiography called aptly Here鈥檚 One I Made Earlier is being published by Green Umbrella.
