In celebration of Clare Balding's 100th edition of Ramblings, this series is devoted to exploring the iconic walks of the United Kingdom.
The 100th edition!
23 March 2007
Clare returns to her home turf near the village of Kingsclere in Hampshire to take one of her favourite walks in the company of her Tibetian Terrier, Archie.
听After at least six hundred miles and countless guests she takes time to reflect on her five years with the programme, the people and the landscapes. She also reveals some of the secrets of recording the programme.
We hear again from the group of ex Nottingham school girls she reunited to re trace the walk they took in the Lakes with their English teacher thirty years before. Clare remembers walking in Spain in a thunderstorm and tips she learn from writer Michael Morpurgo about walking with children.
