This week Clare walks the Northumberland coastal path with Jonathan Manning, editor of Country Walking Magazine.
Clare meets Jonathan Manning, editor of听, and discusses what knowledge and equipment you need to get started as a walker.听 It's not about dressing to go to the Himalayas or being able to navigate across the desert, just some simple tips about how to make your day out smoother and safer.
The route follows Northumberland's scenic听 north from Longhoughton, 40 miles North of Newcastle upon Tyne听. It passes a Bathing House at Howick, the lovely fishing village of听 and the atmospheric ruins of .听
