Henry was born into a Gypsy family and has travelled all his life. His family earned their living off the farms in Kent, picking fruit and hops.
Henry spent the early part of his life living and travelling in horse-drawn caravans. They would stay on farms and work the land. Over the years Henry has seen life change for Gypsy communities.
As a child, Henry's wife Paula also picked fruit and hops and was used to working alongside Gypsy families. She first met Henry 8 years ago when the family car broke down and Henry came along in the recovery vehicle.

Henry and Paula are very involved with their local community. Henry helps children from local schools make painted panels for Gypsy wagons and these are currently on display at the Tunbridge Wells Museum.
Paula says the ideal scenario for them is to get back on the road and set up a Romany Museum showing people what the Gypsy culture is all about. Then she will have fulfilled all her dreams.
