Shoes, train and sheep are key elements in Dave and Alison's life.
Dave and Alison,聽who live in mid-Wales, just near the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway,聽met late in life.聽But they have聽found true happiness despite bringing to their marriage quite a lot of baggage from the past: in particular baggage from Alison's past - namely聽shoes - which Dave doesn't just tolerate, but seems to revel in.
