Malcolm Waldron was聽once the Head of the Plutonium Section at Harwell and due to the officially secret nature of all things Harwellian聽Malcolm Waldron could never discuss what he did with his wife and growing family.
When his only son聽,Stephen, eventually realised the scope of his father's work, he was gob-smacked, impressed and maybe a little shocked.聽He was fifteen and had assumed long ago that he knew everything worth knowing about his parents. But he was wrong!
He tells Michael Rosen about the stories聽that have now passed into Waldron family legend.
