Last week, Initial Letter S, one of the original Ovaltineys, mentioned in passing that it was possible to fake the sound of tap dancing with a pair of drumsticks and a matchbox. A few days later the Reverend Idris Vaughan got in touch with Home Truths to say - never mind tap dancing - he could do an entire variety show with two matchboxes and a bit of cotton and would we like a demonstration...
