Allan Prior
Playwright, television scriptwriter and novelist who has died aged 84.
Allan Prior wrote more 300 television scripts, over 30 radio plays and about 20 novels. His television work included the police drama set in the previously neglected听north of England听'Z cars', the ITV drama 'The Charmer' starring Nigel Havers听and听the soap opera 'Howards' Way',听which he created with the producer Gerard Glaister. His work for Radio 4 included 'Fuhrer' about Adolf Hitler and a music hall drama 'Never Been Kissed in the Same Place Twice'.
Remembering Allan Prior are his son Michael Prior, his daughter folksinger Maddy Prior, radio producer Martin Jenkins and 'Z Cars' producer David Rose.
Allan Prior听was born on January 13th 1922. He died on June 1st 2006.听听

Hazel Dolling
whose home was runner up in the 大象传媒 Restoration programme has died aged 83.
Hazel Dolling was the chatelaine of Lissan, the house in Co Tyrone which she tried to save over the last decade. She took her campaign to the 2003 大象传媒 television programme, 'Restoration', in which viewers voted for the building they thought should receive lottery funding.
Hazel Dolling's friend and neighbour Muriel Hutchinson explains why Lissan meant so much to Hazel.
Hazel Marion Staples was born on June 13th 1923. She died on April 24th 2006. |

Tamsin Causer
World record holding skydiver who has died aged 32.
Tamsin Causer was renowned in the skydiving community after she became the first person to hold four world records simultaneously. She was killed in a "freak accident" after colliding with another jumper during an event in Spain.
Tamsin's other achievements include kickboxing, fencing, base jumping, trampolining, high diving, horse riding, rally driving, motorcycling, scuba diving, swimming, gymnastics, rock climbing, snow skiing, water skiing, ice skating, roller skating and听roller blading.She also took a number of acting roles and hoped to become a professional stunt woman.

Richard Dalitz
Physicist who has died aged 80.
Richard Dalitz is a physicist who mapped the behaviour of exotic particles and argued for the reality of quarks. He gave his name to the Dalitz plot, Dalitz pairs and Castillejo-Dalitz-Dyson (CDD) poles. These discoveries led others to work which earnt them the Nobel prize although he never received this coveted听award himself.
Richard Dalitz was an Australian who took British nationality. He spent a decade in the US and held a chair at Oxford. Last weekend a memorial service was held at All Souls College with his former students and colleagues. We hear from听Frank Close, Don Perkins, Chris Llewelyn-Smith, Carole Jordan, Hugh Berghart and Graham Ross.
Richard Henry Dalitz was born on February 28th 1925. He died on January 13th 2006.
