"The Living World is the next best thing to being there. Our contributors are skilled naturalists who are able to reveal those fascinating facts about animals and plants that you don't always find in books. It's like having a personal guided tour of the countryside, without needing to leave the house."

The Strangford Shore
This week Lionel Kelleway meets up with marine naturalist Pat Boaden on the shores of Strangford Lough.听
听
Strangford Lough is a large, shallow sea inlet听on the east coast of County Down in Northern Ireland.
听
It's an important place for marine invertebrates, algae and salt marsh plants; for wintering and breeding wetland birds and mammals.
Pat and Lionel find peacock worms, brittle starfish and the intriguing electric bulb sea-squirt, amongst the rocks of Strangford.
