Adders
Lionel Kelleway joins adder expert Sylvia Sheldon in the Wyre Valley in Worcestershire to look for one of his most favourite animals.Ìý His aim for the journey is to dispel the fears that adders are formidable hunters in the wild.

In his quest, Lionel is honoured to have one named after him and meets a stunning female adder called ‘Mustard’.

The adder is Britain’s only venomous snake and has a‘zig-zag’ pattern on its body.

The adder is a shy and retreating animal that is considered to be a rare and important part of British natural history.
