0720 A five metre whale which had become trapped in the River Orwell near Ipswich, has been killed this morning to relieve it of it any suffering. We speak to Tim Wass of the RSPCA, one of the rescue crew which spent most of the night at the river.

0730 Prosecutors in Australia have dropped charges against the indian doctor Mohammed Haneef in connection with the failed bomb attacks here. Phil Mercer reports.

0740 This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of the scout movement. And Prince William opens the World Scout Jamboree today at Hylands Park in Chelmsford. We speak to 2 of the 40,000 scouts who have travelled from around the world to the event.

0750 The Red Mosque in Islamabad has been at the centre of a series of violent events over the past month. We ask our correspondent, Dan Issacs, what is the reason for this.

0810 We hear from a resident in Sheffield about what has happened since the floods hit. We are also joined by Hilary Benn who discusses whether or not the floods are likely to affect public attitude to climate change.
0820 Trevor Horn, Lol Cr猫me, Steve Lipson, Chris Braide and Ash Soan, some of the most revered producers and song-writers, are forming a band called The Producers. They are about to release their first single and Mark Coles met up with them in the recording studio as they rehearsed.

Mouloud Sihali Interview
Mouloud Sihali from Algeria, North Africa, is one of the suspected terrorists that听the Home Secretary wants to deport back to Algeria. Based on secret intelligence and police investigations, the Home Secretary has deemed Sihali a threat to the Nation's security. Last year Mouloud Sihali was found not guilty of being a part of a so called released Ricin plot.
The nominations for the Oscars were announced yesterday, and The Constant Gardener is tipped for a place on the shortlist. It stars Ralph Fiennes who picked up an Evening Standard Film Award this week for his role in the film. Polly Billington spoke him and to the author, John le Carre, about the film and its chances at the Oscars. (31/01/06)
