There's no getting away from politicians at the moment. They're dominating our programme, television screens and our door-steps. The temptation for most of us to opt out of the system all-together has probably never seemed so strong.
But one man succumbed to the temptation years ago. Peter David, a lay preacher from Skewen in South Wales doesn't believe in politicians or governments. He refuses to pay any taxes or bills because, he claims, God has granted him exemption.
The former office manager was stopped by police for allegedly driving his car without insurance, MOT or road tax. He was also charged with owning an unlicensed number plate which spelt DEUT 818, a reference to an Old testament Book. He has since changed the plate to JOHN 316 which refers to a biblical passage that those who follow God will come to no harm.
