Little Cat Diary
by Mike Thomson
Today's Mike Thomson teamed up with with the naturalist, Simon King and Nik Cole from Bristol University to spend a night on the trail of a "killer" cat in Bristol.

Bumble lives with Richard Greenaway and his wife in Cotham -- where she's been honing her hunting skills over several years.

Four or five times a week Bumble proudly delivers an array of dead or dying mice, voles and birds to her owners. Often the remains are spread across various locations in the lounge.

The team attached a radio collar to Bumble's neck to follow her at distance. They even used a pair of night vision goggles to observe Bumble's acts of carnage.

She didn't disappoint. Within a few hours -- a yellow tail mouse her victim.

Find out more about the menace that cats present to wildlife.
