Supermarket packaging 20 Jun 2006
When you go to the supermarket, do you like your cucumbers and peppers individually wrapped? Or does it frustrate you that your kitchen bin seems to fill up with cardboard and plastic pretty much as soon as you've emptied it? Today, the National Federation of Women's Institutes is launching a campaign calling upon supermarkets to review their policies on packaging food. The supermarkets in turn insist they are taking an environmental approach.

Jenni debates the issue with Ruth Bond, who is spearheading the NFWI campaign and Jane Bickerstaffe, the Director of INCPEN, the Industry Council for Packaging & the Environment.
