From Victorian cover-ups to barely-there bikinis.

With the summer holiday season now upon us, if you're off somewhere sunny, it’s time to get your white bits out! More than a century since the swimsuit first emerged you’d think there’d be a failsafe, but has there ever been such a thing as a flattering one? Here to discuss the design of the swimsuit is Sarah Kennedy, whose book The Swimsuit gives its fashion history; and swimsuit designer Melissa Odabash.

'The Swimsuit' by Sarah Kennedy isÌýpublished by Carlton Books Limited, ISBN: 978 1 84442 079 7.
