Breast Cancer: The Shock of Diagnosis 09 Oct 2007
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
The psychological impact on the individual, family and friends.

It can be hard to process your thoughts and feelings when you are first told that you have breast cancer. But how easy is it for friends and family to cope with the news? We look听at the psychological impact of being diagnosed and discuss the effect it can have on our closest relationships. Jenni talks to Tara Beaumont, Clinical Nurse Specialist at Breast Cancer Care, and to Cordelia Galgut, a psychotherapist and counsellor who has had breast cancer.
