What evidence is there that they help with symptoms?

It’s thought breast cancer patients are more likely to seek out complementary therapies than those being treated for other types of cancer – but what do we really know about the impact of treatments which are defined as being outside the realm of conventional medicine. As a new study into the benefits of acupuncture begins in Manchester - should we be looking to fund more research into what complementary therapies might offer?Ìý Miriam is joined by Dr Sarah Rawlings, head of policy atÌýBreakthrough Breast Cancer and Professor Alex Molassiotis, professor of Cancer & Supportive Care at the University of Manchester to discuss the issues.
