From shawls to table cloths, ties to dressing gowns, the paisley pattern has long been a firm favourite in the UK. In fact, the classic teardrop design goes back thousands of years – possibly to the time of ancient Babylon. Now it’s inspired an exhibition of work by women artists who’ve reinterpreted the classic motif. One of those taking part is the artist Jane Langley, who’s also curated the show. She joins Jane on the programme, together with Valerie Reilly, Curator of Textiles at the Paisley Museum.
'Paisley: Exploding the Teardrop' is at the PM Gallery and House in Ealing, West London until 19th January, 2008
