Jo Brand as the Sergeant in
From the comedy circuit to comic opera

Jo Brand, one of Britain’s best known female stand-up comedians, famous for self-parody and lambasting men is now turning her talents to the stage. She’ll be starring as the Sergeant of Police in a new production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s popular opera 'The Pirates of Penzance'. Jenni talks to her about her love of Gilbert and Sullivan, her ‘growly libretto’ and doing the odd hideous corporate gig.

'The Pirates of Penzance' is on at the Gielgud Theatre London from 18th February toÌý1st March 2008.
