Fashion
Dressing your partner 02April 2009
Barack Obama is sworn in as the 44th president of the United States as his wife Michelle stands next to him.
Fashion and relationships – who’s in charge?

Michelle Obama says that her husband doesn’t understand fashion: “he’s always asking: ‘Is that new? I haven’t seen that before.’ It’s like, Why don’t you mind your own business? Solve world hunger. Get out of my closet.” We discuss the politics and practicalities of dressing your partner. How can you influence his wardrobe? And what do you do when he’s got an opinion about yours? Jane Garvey is joined by journalist Martin Kelner and Brenda Emmanus, former presenter of the Clothes Show and now ý London’s arts and entertainment correspondent.
