Social
Female Friendships 11 May 2009
Two friends
When do you make lifelong friends?

The typical Briton has only three close friends, and loses touch with an average of 36 people over the years, according to new research. So when do you make your best friends? Why do some friendships last when others don鈥檛? How does the quality of men鈥檚 relationships differ from women鈥檚? Jane will be joined by The Daily Record columnist Joan Burnie; Angie Hobbs, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Warwick University and freelance journalist Natalie Barrass to discuss the nature of female friendships, whether it鈥檚 possible to have more than three real friends and how the changing nature of technology affects the way we bond.
