Today's special edition of Woman鈥檚 Hour is a celebration of Marguerite Patten听who has been teaching us how to cook since the 1930s. Her career began in the war years when she broadcast to the nation on the 大象传媒 giving helpful tips on how to听make the most of limited rations. She has听had countless TV and radio shows, been awarded听an OBE for services to the 'art of cookery' and written 170 cookery books. The听latest, Best British Dishes, is her last so Jane Garvey visited her Brighton home to hear about her life, work and to sample some of Marguerite鈥檚 favourite recipes.
