Bring a dictionary, avoid middle aged men and be prepared to slum it. That's the advice handed out to workers travelling to Britain by one popular Polish TV programme. Since joining the EU two years ago many Poles, and especially Polish women have found their way here. But there have been Poles in Britain for a very long time - Bonnie Prince Charlie's mother was Maria Clementina Sobieski, a Polish princess. And the Polish community in the Scottish Highlands is now so big that the Bishop of Aberdeen toured Poland last month asking Polish priests to come over to join their former parishioners.
