A group of mothers is gathering an online petition for delivery at Number 10 Downing Street calling for the implementation of a National Breastfeeding Strategy in England.
They argue action is needed to tackle our low rates of breastfeeding, one of the lowest in Europe.
But do we really need a national strategy promoting breastfeeding when some mothers feel 鈥渢he breastfeeding mafia鈥� is already exerting too much pressure? And why don鈥檛 women talk about the realities of breastfeeding more, is it one of the last taboos?
