From the back garden to the kitchen table.
Carol Klein, the nation's new gardening guru, believes that plants have personalities too; some are gate-crashing party animals, some are flamoyant attention-seekers and some are simply honest and very down-to-earth. To Carol, tasting a newly scrubbed potato from the ground is an experience, like no other.听And, she claims, it's听easy听to grow oragnic vegetables, even if you are gardening in a fifth storey flat in the centre of town.
Carol Klein talks to Martha about the rewards, edible and otherwise, of growing your own vegetables.
听 Carol Klein's book 'Grow your own Veg' is published by Mitchell Beazley, ISBN: 1845332938. The TV programme starts on 大象传媒 2 on Friday 5th January at 8.30pm and will be repeated on Mondays at 7.30pm.
