Why women seem to be suffering the most?

Women in developing countries are being badly hit by the global recession. Millions are losing their jobs, families are going hungry and according to the World Bank up to 2.8 million babies will die between now and 2015 if the crisis persists. In the week that the leaders of the world鈥檚 most powerful countries meet in London for the G20 summit, Jane asks Ruth Sunderland, Business Editor of the Observer why it is women who are suffering most?
