Taking another child on holiday: delight or disaster? 29 May听2009
children at a holiday centre
Would you take听your child's friend on holiday with you?

What do you do when your child pleads for their听friend to come on holiday with you? It might seem like a good way to keep the children occupied, but it can be fraught with challenges. Who should pay for the trip? If it's your child who's been asked on holiday how do you know that the parents' values are the same as yours? Do you need a letter of consent for the host parents, with a list of听do's and don'ts and if you are taking teenagers away,听do you impose a curfew and ban on alcohol?

Jenni is joined by Amanda Fisher, mother of two girls and by Alison Baverstock author of Whatever!: A Down-to-Earth Guide to Parenting Teenagers, an an advice book on parenting teenagers.
