Winning Women's Votes - How can Government policy improve child protection?

The government鈥檚 programme Every Child Matters and the 2004 Children Act were meant to improve child protection. They were implemented after Lord Laming鈥檚 Report on the death of Victoria Climbi茅. But in his follow up report in May last year, and following the death of Baby P, Lord Laming found that there was still a crisis in child protection and that many authorities had failed to implement his changes. So what still needs to be done to protect our most vulnerable children and how can government policy help?听 As part of our Winning Women's Votes Jenni听discusses the issues with Peaches Cadogan, who has experienced the care system, Sue White, Professor of Social Work, Lancaster University and听Natasha Finlayson, Chief Executive of Who Cares? Trust.听
