Fashion
Pre-school clothes and gender I Oct 2009
Is it pink versus navy blue?

Have you got a 'cheeky little monkey' or a 'daddy鈥檚 little princess'? Does your 3-year-old have a top that says, 'Boys are better than girls'? Jenni discusses pre-school children鈥檚 clothing. It鈥檚 an area where marketing, fairytale dreams and our ideas about girls and boys have combined to create a world of slogans; pink and blue; knights, dinosaurs, princesses and fairies. Are we defining children by their gender far too early, or should we just relax and let them enjoy the dressing up? Jenni听is joined听by the journalist Viv Groskop and the parenting expert Sarah Ebner.
