Top British female skier

Top British female alpine skier Chemmy Alcott began skiing atÌý18 months. A fierce determination to keep up with her older brothers developed her competitive instincts and since then she’s gone on to become one of the most successful British female skiers ever. She came 11th in the Downhill at the 2006 Olympics, and went on to become the first British woman to qualify for and race in the World Cup Finals. A competitor in all five alpine skiing disciplines,Ìýthis year Chemmy has her sights set on gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She joins Jane to discuss her preparations.
ÌýChemmy is competing in all 5 alpine skiing events at the Winter Olympics (12th – 28th February) in Vancouver, Canada
