Lesley Sharp
Her starring role in Ibsen’s ‘Ghosts’

The actress Lesley Sharp is a familiar face on our television screens, often playing defiant women who are somehow troubled by life. She’s appeared in 'Clocking Off',Ìý'Common as Muck', andÌý'Cranford'Ìýand also a wide range of films, from 'Rita Sue and Bob Too' to 'The Full Monty'. She is now on stage in the West End playing Mrs Alving in Ibsen’s harrowing drama, 'Ghost's. The play caused outrage in 1881 and still has the power to shock with its raw portrayal of religious hypocrisy, family secrets, and the damage done by keeping up appearances in 19th century bourgeois society.ÌýÌýÌýÌý
